What is The Difference Between Solid and Engineered Hardwood?
In our showroom, we carry two different types of hardwood, solid and engineered. Solid hardwood is the original hardwood flooring option. It is a single plank of wood with a protective surface finish that can be refinished to increase its life cycle. Engineered hardwood is newer, and is made of a multi-layer construct that gives it added stability, you can also refinish these floors depending on how thick the top veneer is.
Determining the needs of your space and project will help you in the decision between solid and engineered hardwood.
